Our newly renovated members area is now officially open

This opening marks a landmark moment in the Club's remarkable journey from closure to a thriving community lifesaving organisation.

Minister for Police and Emergency Services Dan Purdie MP joined Club members, supporters and the local community on Sunday 19th July to cut the ribbon on the upgraded facility, made possible through a Queensland Government grant delivered in partnership with Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ).

The grant formed part of the Queensland Government's record $125 million, 10-year SLSQ Service Level Agreement — the largest funding commitment to surf lifesaving in Australian history. A Queensland-wide audit identified Peregian Beach SLSC among the clubs most in need of infrastructure support, given a 30-year-old clubhouse that had long been inadequate for the Club's growing needs.

Club President Leigh McCready paid tribute to the extraordinary volunteer effort behind the transformation. "This renovation was delivered on time and on budget, and that is entirely a testament to our incredible team — the Facilities Committee, Board members, our Supporters Club and sponsors, and the volunteers who rolled up their sleeves at working bees.”

“Thanks also to local firms Altum Property Group and Stanford Consulting Engineers who donated their expertise to ensure the project was managed efficiently despite many challenges. These facilities will help us attract new members and build toward a full contingent of 12 patrols within the next two years. Thanks to the Queensland Government and SLSQ for making the project possible."
