What's involved

New members are always welcome! Surf lifesavers come from all walks of life and anyone, at any age, can become part of our lifesaving family and be part of this long-standing tradition.

Not a strong swimmer?

Can you still join Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club? YES!

There are lots of opportunities, positions, and courses available. You don't have to gain a Bronze Medallion. Lifesaving patrols require members with many different awards. We are always delighted to gain new Bronze Medallion holders who are trained to rescue people from the surf, but we also need Radio Operators in the tower and First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certificate holders on the beach.

How to Join

Our membership year starts the 1st of October and runs through to 30 September of the following year.

Nipper Family Memberships
Family Membership 1 • One Nipper Member (1)* • One or Two Adults (Parents/Guardians)	$250

Family Membership 3 • Three + Nipper Members (3+)* • One or Two Adults (Parents/Guardians)	$350
NOTE: 1. At least one parent or guardian must join when they sign up a child for Nippers, and they are to always remain in attendance at the program. (Membership is included in Nippers fees above) 2. Parents hold the membership category of Associate until they receive an Award. 3. Nippers uniform is compulsory - Age-relevant cap and a hi-vis long-sleeved pink rashshirt/ or hi-vis pink singlet
Community Membership
Non-voting category for members who wish to assist with non-lifesaving activities. EG: Grandparent who wants to be involved or previous Lifesaving members	$20

Member Benefits

As a newly formed club we are on the path to re-establishing the Peregian Beach SLSC for our local community. All members have free access to Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificate courses, access to club house facilities and equipment, social events, discounted club merchandise and discounts for supporters club events. Our goal is to be able to offer a range of programs and awards to allow our members to continually develop their skills and capabilities.

New Members

Sign up is via the SLS Members Hub – please be sure to select Peregian Beach SLSC as your Club. If you are signing up two or more members, select “Family” from the drop-down box (select “Individual” if you are only signing up yourself/one member). Please note, a parent must join when you sign up a child for our Nippers program. Enter the parent details FIRST, then click on the link to add each additional new member. After you submit your application a message will pop up on the payments page advising that your membership is pending. When your membership has been approved please log back into the Members Hub to pay your fees.

Existing Members

Please complete your membership renewal online by logging into the SLS MEMBERS HUB. You will need your username and password. If you are a returning Patrol member please renew your membership before the new patrol season commences (i.e. before the September school holidays start). All other membership fees are due before the end of October.

Transfers

Members transferring from other Surf Life Saving Clubs must have approval from your previous Club to Transfer OUT, before we can process your request to transfer IN to our Club. When you transfer in, the membership category you held at your previous Club will be recognised by our Club. EG: If you are a Long Service Member at another club, you will be considered a Long Service member of our club. Please speak with your existing Club and then contact us at hello@peregiansurfclub.com.au
