About Lifesaving 

Lifesaving is a volunteer community committed to preventing deaths by drowning in coastal waters and is one of the most unique organisations in the world. It offers many rewarding opportunities.

There's a role for everyone:

• Join our beach patrols as a Bronze Medallion or Surf Rescue Certificate holder
• Support our patrol services in First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation or Radio Operations
• Become a course trainer, assessor or facilitator
  
• Support or Junior activities (Nippers) water safety team as a Surf Rescue Certificate holder

Volunteer Patrols

Peregian Beach is patrolled by our volunteer lifesavers every Sunday from mid-September to the start of May. We also patrol on all the public holidays, and once a month on Saturdays.

Our patrols teams are rostered for half a day every 3 to 4 weeks (approx. 10-12 patrols per season).

Peregian Beach Patrol teams patrol the beach from 7am until 5pm and 7am to 6pm through the Christmas school holiday period. Lifeguards patrol the beach on weekdays and at all times outside the volunteer patrol season.
